Podiatry
The podiatry (foot) department at ACHS offers key podiatry services close to home. Foot problems, which are common among seniors and individuals with diabetes. If left untreated, foot problems can affect numerous bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons.
Staff
The podiatry team at ACHS consists of Dr. Kirk Neustrom, DPM and Dr. Sara Zelinskas, DPM, as well as registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
Goal
To provide the highest quality podiatric treatment and care to restore pain-free movement and enhance overall health and well-being.
Interventions/Services
ACHS performs podiatry surgical procedures to treat conditions including, but not limited to:
- Ankle sprains and instability
- Bunions
- Fractures
- Hammertoes
- Turf toe
- Heel pain
- Achilles tendonitis
- Orthotics
- Rashes and infections
- Toenail cutting - This important service is only provided to traditional Medicare patients at this time. Patients may have their toenails cut every 9 weeks, per Medicare guidelines.
- Ingrown toenail treatment - This service is provided to traditional Medicare patients only at this time.
