Rehabilitation Services
Rock Valley Physical Therapy at ACHS provides a wide variety of rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
Rock Valley Physical Therapy is based in Moline, Illinois and has more than 60 locations throughout Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska. We are proud to have been part of and served our communities for over 25 years. More than 400 employees focus on providing skilled and highly effective physical and occupational therapy services in the inpatient, outpatient and industrial settings. Our goal is to foster timely and optimal outcomes for each individual patient.

Physical Therapy
Physical therapists (PTs) are movement specialists. Our two full-time, licensed physical therapists located in Adair County Memorial Hospital have the skillsets, knowledge and compassion to help you understand your symptoms or impairments and walk with you through the healing process. PTs perform individualized evaluations to determine each patient’s needs, work with them to set goals and teach strategies to work toward those goals.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists (OTs) help people of all ages healing from an illness, injury or some form of debilitation to relearn the skills of daily living and tasks that are important to them. Adair County Health System has two OTs that work with patients as needed.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapy helps individuals improve their communication and addresses impairments with swallowing. Speech therapists work with patients throughout their lifespan to address their individualized needs regarding speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders. Two speech-language pathologists, or speech therapists, see patients at ACHS on an as-needed basis.
In addition, ACHS has access to evaluations with Mobile FEES service, which comes to the hospital to perform swallow studies.
